First download the box set Parent Profile. tThen insert each disc in your DVD-ROM drive and in DVD Profiler choose Add to Collection and choose the Add Inserted Disc tab. Or just insert each disc and if DVD Profiler recognizes them you can Add to Collection. Once you add them to your collection, edit the Parent Profile, the box set, and choose Box Set Contents on the left. Search for the child profiles you downloaded and assign them to the Parent.

Mighta mentioned that before  .

Can't help ya. You'll have to wait till the beta goes final as it includes the ability to recognize Blu-Ray Disc ID.

Hi,

Perhaps I'm not understanding the problem as the solution seems quite simple.  I feel that if this is the case I will be so apprised but in the mean time here's my suggestion:

1) Add the Blu-Ray 4 disc profile if you haven't already done so.
2) Add each of the individual Blu-ray disc profiles by "Title".
3) Edit the 4 disc profile and select "Box Set Contents".
4) "Assign" each of the individual disc profiles and then click "OK"

Good luck.

unless the individual movies for die hard have their own upc then you won't be able to add it by title unless you add one of the dvd versions. like 8ball said, you'll need to wait for the beta to go final or at least until contributions are accepted from it.

Hi,

"Unless" seems to be the case if his "Locality" is the US, as those appear in the listing of Blu-ray DVDs.

Unless? You are focusing wrong. This is very simple.

Q: Do the individual movies have their own UPC#

If yes enter each film under its appropriate UPC and according to the rules

If No...STOP, NOTHING can be done until the appropriate modifications are made to 3.5 to read the disc ID data from the discs AND until we we mave much closer to release candidates for 3.5 and can begin testing the Contributions of the new version.

In short, I suspect the answr is NO...Stop and Wait, there is NOTHING that you can do right now. You can however occupy yourself in the interim with a thorough reading of the Rules, so that when the time comes you will be able to make an appropriate contribution.

While you're waiting for version 3.5 to be released, you could do a couple of things:
either download a different profile for each of the Die Hard films and use them until the time comes that you can change the UPC to match yours (at which time the profiles should change after a refresh).
Or create manual profiles to match your discs and again when 3.5 is released change the UPC to link them to the online database.

Edit: just remember if you download different profiles not to submit any of your changes.

Hi,

I believe that the concerns expressed would be be valid if minchtree's post was to the "Contribution Discussion" forum.

There are, UPCed, Blu-ray versions of these films in the DB so I am sure there is one that will match what you have in the box set.

I see all three versions in the data base as well as the fourth box set for all three., but what Minchtree may be missing since he didn't find them , is the 'locality'  issue.
Don't know where Minchtree is from--,, in the world.., BUT if he sets his locality to USA all the sets come up, if he set Canada as locality- only two of the four come up, --,,UK  shows zero and other countries show zero'as well.

This is an issue that should be more addressed to newbies who come on board and then can't find what they are looking for . The first place to look for is Locality rather than going thru Disc ID or even UPC/EAN will bring up nothing unless they contribute that title that code and that Locality..

Again, not necessarily. Many boxsets are built based on Disc IDs because the individual films do not have a UPC of their own. I don't know if Die Hard BD is one of those or not, IF each film has its own UPC then they can be entered NOW, if they do not, and my guess is they don't, then they have to be done via Disc ID which right now the program hasn't caught up with..YET, but will sooner rather than later...just be patient.

Jim

Not at all, jim. None of us have any special abilities, we are all in the same boat. IF they must be enterd via Disc ID, NONE of us can do that at this time and therefore they will not be in the database and cannot be downloaded, uploaded or anything. All we can do is WAIT.

Profiler counts profiles, not movies.  If you don't download the individual profiles for each film, it will not count them.
