If this were a movie profiler then we could enter data for any film whether or not it has ever been released to DVD, VHS or Laserdisc ....

Locally, there is no problem to do that. I use DVD profiler as a great movie profiler program.

Absolutely correct. There's no problem using the program as a "movie profiler" locally. Just that, it's not what the program was designed for and if it's a "Movie Profiler" that someone wants, there are other programs designed specifically for that purpose, just as AESP_pres said. That's all I'm saying.

As far as the original question posted by Obs1234, it has been sufficiently answered by Lori, Northbloke and AESP_pres. Use of a "plugin" designed to scrape data from a 3rd party database for use in DVD Profiler would subject the user to legal ramifications. If the data were kept locally I would have no issues with that, let the user burn for all I care. But if that same data is then contributed to the online database then that exposes Invelos, and I do have issues with that  .
