My Thoughts:
I originally seen this movie on On Demand... and at that time I really didn't care for it. But when I got the chance to get a free copy of the movie I thought why not give it another chance. After all it does have Matthew Perry and Michelle Trachtenberg in it... and I usually enjoy the both of them. Well today I thought I would go ahead and bite the bullet and give it another go. Kind of a get it over with type thing. As it turns out I am glad I gave it a second chance. While it still not good enough to get onto my favorites list... it is better then I thought it was the first time I watched it. I was surprised when I found myself enjoying it this time. Still I would say it is no more then an average movie... but at least I am not sorry I have it in my collection... and I could even see myself watching it again at some point.

My Thoughts:
I haven't watched this movie since it was originally released on DVD. That was back in late 2002. I can't believe it is going on 10 years already. I use to watch the Scooby Doo cartoons all the time when I was a kid. I think they did a fine job bringing it to live action. While it is live action, it didn't loose the cartoon feel. I think they did a good job casting the characters.  I especially liked Sarah Michelle Geller as Daphne. Sure, the movie is geared more for the kids... but I think any adult that watched Scooby and the gang during their childhood will enjoy it too. I know I enjoyed it. It is something that brought me back to my childhood, but at the same time something that is modern.

This DVD was in the package I got yesterday. And was glad to be able to watch it again. Unfortunately it is the full screen edition. But I hope to upgrade to the widescreen eventually.

My Thoughts:
I really wasn't sure what to think going into this movie. I thought it looked pretty silly going by the trailer. And it definitely was that. But I enjoyed it quite a bit all the same. I found it to be  just a fun show. Silly as can be in parts... but lots of fun. Of course it probably helped that I was familiar with a lot of the child stars that made appearances in this movie. And there is a lot of them that make an appearance. Matter of fact there is a montage of them right before the end credits where they all get together singing a song about being child stars. Not to mention a good handful through-out the movie as well. I did get a few good chuckles out of the movie. But those chuckles were pretty few and far between. I think recognizing the child stars was where I got most of my enjoyment from in this one.

My Thoughts:
This one was a two night mini-series that originally aired on the Hallmark Channel. I never got to see this when it originally aired... so was very pleased when I found out a friend was giving it to me. It is in a set of 2 mini-series along with Merlin's Apprentice. Which I also missed when it originally aired... so was twice as thrilled. Especially since I remember really enjoying Merlin. This isn't the normal disturb the tomb and you are cursed type of thing. They decided to go a completely different direction then that. While I can see how some may not like this... I enjoyed it quite a bit. I found it to be an interesting and entertaining way to spend almost 3 hours. It didn't feel that long while watching it! I tend to shy away from anything that is around 2hrs or longer... but this one was worth the time put into it. The storyline is interesting. The characters are likable. And the effects are pretty good as well. I really don't have anything here to complain about. Well, a couple extras would have been nice... but other then that... no complaints.

My Thoughts:

The children wanted to watch this movie, so I agreed to sit with them and watch it.  I remember not being overly thrilled with the movie the first time I saw it.  The players try to bring the story to life, even though the story line and dialogue seem far fetched and even bad at times.  The Special Effects, while "Apocalyptic", were way overdone, which made the story even more far fetched.  If you like movies that are about the effects, then this movie will be for you.  If you want a decent story, with special effects thrown in, then skip this movie.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I heard about a lot over the past several years. Many of my friends told me how good it is and how I had to see it. So when I got a copy in my latest package of DVDs I couldn't wait to check it out. While it isn't a bad movie... I would even go as far as saying it is a good movie... but I think I went into it with a little too high of expectations. I definitely enjoyed it... was a fun way to waste an hour and a half... I don't see what all the fuss was about. My favorite character of the movie was Jenny played by Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mercy). While I did get a few chuckles out of it... there really wasn't any laugh out loud moments in it for me. Don't take it wrong... the movie is definitely worth seeing. Just don't make the same mistake I did and go into it with too high of expectations.

My Thoughts:
I never really cared much for Ashton Kutcher... but after watching him for 2 seasons on That '70s Show he has grown on me a bit. Still not enough to call myself a fan, but I no longer kringe when I see him on the screen. I am actually surprised how much I enjoyed this one. I mean it looked like something I would like from the trailer... but I really enjoyed this one. There was several laugh out loud moments in it for me. I liked the storyline... even if it isn't all that original. I liked the characters as well. It is definitely a good way to spend an hour and a half. Give it a chance if you haven't yet.

My Thoughts: The newest movie of the Buddies saga.  My wife requested that I buy it, so the girls could watch it (At least this is what she said ).  While the kids did enjoy it, my wife did also.  I personally think that the "Buddies" have been overdone.  The dialogue in this movie seemed stilted, especially among the human characters.  The writers(director) seems to put a lot of emphasis on the animals for the "cute" factor, but the work seemed to stop with that.

My opinion, young children will enjoy this movie, and possibly mothers and grandmothers who see it through the eyes of the children.  As far as a quality movie, this sorely missed the mark.

My Thoughts:
A friend of the family been bugging me to watch this movie every since he found out that I got it. It is one of his favorite movies. He told me it is just plain hilarious... yes in a stupid sort of way... but hilarious all the same. Today I finally got tired of being asked about it so I popped it in. Now maybe he had my expectations up too high... but I didn't care for this one as much as he did. Sure it is a fun comedy in that stupid sort of way.... but it is not one I would call hilarious. Sure there was a few scenes I caught myself literally laughing out loud... but not all that many. But I did find it to be a fun movie over all. Maybe a little long for they type of movie it is. But it is one I found to be worth watching.

My Thoughts:
This is one my brother rented from Netflix and I wanted to watch before sending it back. The original Fright Night has always been one of my favorite vampire movies. And as most of you already know... I love my vampire movies. And I did enjoy this one... but I definitely prefer the original. This one changed a lot of things compared to the original... but unfortunately some of the things they changed is things I really liked about the original. But then other things they changed was pretty cool. One of the things I really didn't care for is that they made the Peter Vincent character to be a Criss Angel wannabe. Which put me off a bit at first... but then he grew on me within the last 20min of the movie. Over-all I would say it is worth seeing... and I would like to eventually add it to my collection.

Plot:
From Cormac McCarthy, author of No Country For Old Men and The Road comes this searing two character drama about the choice people frequently make; to go on or give in to despair. Set in a New York tenement apartment, the story focuses on two very different men, a black ex-con (Samuel L. Jackson) who claims to hear the voice of Jesus, and the white professor (Academy Award® winner Tommy Lee Jones) he stopped from throwing himself in front of an oncoming train, The Sunset Limited.

What follows is a philosophical debate with incredibly high stakes – can Black convince White that life is worth living, that once he goes out that door he should not head for a return date with the Sunset Limited? Souls are bared and secrets shared, with Black's faith increasingly challenged by White's bleak but meticulously reasoned view of a world gone wrong. The conflict reaches a shattering conclusion that will leave you thinking well after the final frame.

My Thoughts:
I enjoy a good philosophical debate and or discussion.  That being said, it did not make for a very enjoyable movie.  While the onscreen debate was interesting at times, it seemed to drag on for entirely too long.  Jackson and Jones presented their characters very well, but it really isn't something that is suited for a movie.

High marks for performance, but overall definitely not a movie for the majority.

My Score:

1.5/5

My Thoughts:
I am basically familiar with Ed Wood by reputation only. I only have one of his movies in my collection. That being Plan 9 from Outer Space. Despite the little I know of him... or maybe because of the little I know of him... I was looking forward to checking out this movie. A nice coincidence here... I been watching episodes of Medium and this movie also has Patricia Arquette in it. I really didn't know what to expect going into this movie. Whether it would be something I like or not. I ended up finding it oddly captivating. I found that I enjoyed it quite a bit. I normally shy away from anything that is about 2hrs or more in length. As I really need to be in the mood to be able to sit still that long. But in the case of Ed Wood the 2+ hours seemed to fly by! I was actually surprised when it was over already.

The DVD itself is nicely done as well. Lots of fun extras here. And I must admit... I got a kick out of the animated menus they used for this one. All in all a very nice release of a fun movie I wasn't sure if I would like or not. Definitely a pleasant surprise.
