can anyone explain to me where the REAL difference between Not Rated and UNRATED in America is ?
From my understanding:
Doomsday gets an UNRATED DVD release after its R-rated theatrical run. This means the new Unrated version was never seen/checked by the MPAA, am I right here ?
Death Race 2 is a direct to Video release marked as NOT RATED, this release has also never seen the lights of the MPAA, am I right here too ?
If those 2 above statements are correct, that both versions of those films were not seen/checked/rated by the MPAA, why should we seperate them in DVD Profiler ?

So, I don't know who you are talking about considering the Edition field as the rating but it has never been true here, and I would in no way even try to present an argument that it was, it is only relevant to the Edition field. 1) I am not spending my days focused on this issue. I'm steadily working on the important work items, so no need to worry that this is taking up my time.
2) Anything that requires a program change will have to wait. This is far from an emergency item and so will have to wait for a regular release.
3) At this point, I believe adding Unrated is the best possible solution to the problem short of a program change.
The only outstanding issue in my mind is whether to apply the Unrated rating only in cases where "Unrated" or similar is prevalent on the cover, or to also apply it to "NR" films which previously were given a theatrical rating.
