Title: Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid
Year: 1981
Director: Saul Swimmer
Rating: NR
Length: 138 Min.
Video: Widescreen 1.85:1
Audio: Engelsk: PCM: 2-Channel Stereo, Engelsk: DTS-HD Master Audio: 5.1, Kommentar: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo
Subtitles: Kommentar

Stars:
John Deacon
Brian May
Freddie Mercury
Roger Taylor

Plot:
Queen Rock Montreal, recorded live at Montreal's 18,000 seater Forum over two nights in November 1981, is a celebration of Queen at the very height of their 80's record breaking achievements. It is also a historic recording of the very last concerts of Queen 'raw'.

This was the time when Queen had topped both the US singles and album charts for the first time, had become the first band ever to top the UK singles, albums and video charts simultaneously and on their historic invasion of Latin America had broken the world attendance record for a single paying concert when 131,000 Brazilians saw the band play Sao Paulo's Morumbi stadium. 1981 was, says John Deacon, "a year for discovering new audiences we didn't know existed."

Queen ended that year of extraordinary events at Montreal''s Forum. The dates - November 24 and 25, 1981 - were scheduled specifically to make a full length film of their show. As would be expected of Queen, they took the form of the concert film to a new level, becoming the first group to shoot an entire show in full cinema format 35mm.

Having spent almost two years non-stop touring, and invigorated their triumphant Latin America experience, Queen hit Montreal in top form.

This is the pre 'Hot Space' album, before keyboards would find a place in the band''s touring line up; just four God-gifted musicians in total rapport, delivering live the energy and innovation of their studio recordings.

Originally titled WE WILL ROCK YOU, this film was released in North America in 1984 becoming the first commercially available film of Queen in concert. In this special edition, the 35mm negative was scanned to ensure the highest possible resolution, this was the examined frame by frame where any splices, dirt or damage were removes to enhance the sharpness and quality of the pcture. The sound was newly mixed and remastered for DTS Surround Sound and PCM Stereo from the Original multitrack tapes. 25 tracks and 96 minutes of Queen in peak form.

My Thoughts:
Ah, let me just start of by saying that music is very important to me. I need good music to get trough the days (as a good movie) and many of the great bands are finally getting their shows out on blu-ray. And not only dvds. And Queen is one of the biggest and greatest bands thats been there. Shame Freddie Mercury died so much to early. But, when it comes to this blu-ray here.. Let me just say that the concert in it self is just perfect. What a show they make on the stage. (thinking about its a really long time ago) and the songs too.. Just perfect IMO. I would give this set a perfect score, if it wasnt for the bonus footage. I hoped and thought it would be a bit more. But it wasnt. So it will get almost a perfect score.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie that was given to me a while back... but just now getting the chance to watch. It's not a bad movie... though not one I would call great or see myself watching all that often. I guess what I am saying is that it is entertaining for what it is.. just don't go into it expecting too much. The swapping of luck is the one thing I do like about it. And I like how they ended it... where the luck finally is put. I haven't seen much with Lindsay Lohan in it... as I only have a few of her movies. But going by what I did see... she isn't bad. I wouldn't call myself a fan at this point. But I can see myself getting a few more of her movies if the chance arises. My recommendation on this one? Catch it on cable. If you do decide to pick it up... make sure you get it cheap.

Don’t miss this tire-squealing, stop-on-a-dime comedy with a topflight cast of stars, including Ann-Margret, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and NYPD Blue's Henry Simmons.

My Thoughts:
Another disc that was in a box full of DVDs that was given to me. I am really not that familiar with Jimmy Fallon. The only other thing I have that I actually seen so far with him in it is Fever Pitch. And while I have nothing against Queen Latifah... I don't consider myself a fan. The trailer looked like it could be fun... but iffy. So I went into this one with low expectations. And it is a good thing I did. As while I did find it entertaining... there was no real laughs. It is pretty bad when the bloopers during the end credits gets more laughs then the movie itself does. But the cars was definitely fun. This is one I can see watching again... but not often.

I would reccomand this. But however, there was a few things i wasnt happy with.. First of, the way some of the songs was edited wasnt good. And for some of the songs we didnt get the whole song etc. And there was no bonus material. And i kinda expect that, when it comes on blu-rays. But all in all, a good show

Ah, i've heard so much about this movie.. And now i finally had the chance to watch it. And i actually loved it! Even though it was a romantic movie. (Something i usually dont like) But i enjoyed the story, and the storytelling a quite bit. And the acting was real good too imo! I've heard people said it is a real classic. And i would agree. And the adaption over to the blu-ray was just great too if you ask me. All in all, for those who like old movies. You should watch this.. I mean, everyone should watch it!

My Thoughts:
Ah, what a strong\powerfull movie! I've bought a long time ago. But just now i got finally around to watch it. It was a big hit here in Norway. Since its based on a true story, it makes it that much stronger. Its hard to watch how people was treated back in the days. And i think its a very important movie too, that has been made. To show how things really was. Its a movie i will reccomand for all Norwegians out there, who havent wached it! Its a must watch! The only negative thing i have to say about the movie (and the reason why i wont give it a perfect) is  the acting from some of the 'actors' some of them was beyond bad. (I'm sorry, but some of it was) But the movie was very good in its right it self. And yeah, i am glad i watched it. Even though its a dark movie.

I just have to start of by saying that i agree with alot with what Addicted said about it. (But i did the mistake, to have real high hopes for it.) And i too liked the cast. And i like the lead in the movie. Maby thats why i had even bigger expectations for the movie. The story is ok, and the acting is good aswell.. But for a horror movie, the movie was real slow. Stuff didnt really start to happen' before it was to late. And come the REAL scary parts.. It wasnt any IMO. There were some scary parts, trough out the movie. But not like "i'll lose any sleep over" They had great potential to make the movie so MUCH more scary and better. But they kinda blew it IMO.. For me it was a kinda disappointing movie all in all.
But then again, i had my hopes up real high. Maby thats one of the reasons too. Really expected much more.

Ah, thats how it is alot of times with horror movies (IMO) in the genre they have done about everything that can be done in horror. And its not always easy to make a good horror movie i think. (Maby thats only me that thinks that, since i'm real picky when it comes to a good horror movie.) But yeah, i agree with its easier said then done. To go into a movie with no expectations. Specially if you have watched the trailer, and that looked awesome. And people have said good things about a movie.  But yeah, i'll try too sometimes. Hehe, easier to not get that disappointed. But, i got a few more movies from the same people who's behind Fertile Ground.. (Hope they are better then this one)
