When you say it didn't work - did it not let you log in or something else?
Did you get as far as the screen that lets you choose username and password?

I get you, I'm only guessing but it sounds like it doesn't like the fact that you didn't use a last name when you registered. In which case, unfortunately only Ken can sort it out for you, unless anyone else has any more ideas.
Sorry I can't help you but it's got me stumped.
Hope you manage to get it fixed soon.

Back to my original problem.

I created a new empty database and uploaded it. Then I went back to the previous database and uploaded it again. I got the same error, and it only managed to upload around half of my collection. (seems to be random as to what profiler are there, and who's not).

Does anyone know the order in which DVDProfiler uploads the profiles? Could it maybe be uploaded from the lowest UPC to the highest?

In My Profiler (at the top right of the page), go to Online Collection and make sure that you have the Visibilty setting set to Public (looks like you have) and make sure that you have selected to show Owned, Ordered, Wish list and Adult Titles.

If you don't show Adult Titles, nothing an R rating should  show up.

Problem is I can't upload my collection. DVDProfiler shows only 2500 titles in the online collection, when trying to upload and overwrite, and the error message comes up during the upload process, and then abort.

What connection type are you using? Modem (dial-up), ISDN or DSL?
Is your connectionmanager set to interrupt connections if idle?
In your networksettings what's your TTL (time to live), means how many servers is the data allowed to use?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Sounds like you may have a corrupted profile in there somewhere. Have you tried uploading your collection in increments to isolate the problematic profile?

I've tried deleting all the latest added profiles, but no luck. What do you mean by the last sentence. Is there any way to partly upload, or do I have to do a lot of work manually? I think I'll try to open a support ticket. Maybe they're able to find something in an error log.

The only way I can think of to upload a partial collection is to do this.
Flag half your collection and back it up.
Restore that backup into a blank database and try and upload that.
If it works, then the faulty profile is in the other half, so half that half again and repeat until you've got got it whittled down to the faulty profile.

Edit: you have tried a database repair haven't you?

Edit (2): ya-shin's idea is better!

For some reason, the last 2 days I have not been able to upload my collection. During the "uploading and processing list", I get a pop-up message saying "The online system is currently unavailable or an error occurred. Please try again later".

I've done a full database repair, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

What titles have you added or updated in the last two days?

Do you have a backup that you can restore into a new database from two days ago? If so, upload a black database, restore the one from two days ago then upload that. If that works, refresh updated profiles from Invelos and note the ones that are updated, accept one at a time and upload until the upload stops working. You should then have found your problem profile.

Well, it's a moderate amount of work, but it's troubleshooting after all...

What you would do is restoring your collection partially from a Backup. Then upload that partial collection. If things go o.k., you restore more profiles. When you get trouble with the upload again, then you know that the troublesome profile is in the las increment you restored. Now you can repeat that procedure with that last increment only.

If it was only one profile making trouble, you could ultimately single that one profile out with the above method.
