Far from it! Those contributions made me cry...

I have to agree, this happens all the time and why those people don't simply withdraw their Contribution eludes me, what's worse is when you have a huge No vote Count like that and then the user comes here and wants to know why.

Skip

How abou if you got right in you contribution i just got 5 YES and 11No and got it released.

Well, this really depends on the individual case. I personally withdraw a contribution after receiving the 1st no-vote containing a comprehensible reason, independently from the number of yes-votes.

I re-check my contribution for eventually errors I may have missed. Only when I'm totally sure that my contribution is correct, I re-contribute with somewhat more detailed explanation.

Sometimes one single no-vote is more meaningful than 10 yes-votes,  IMHO!

You are free to do so but this becomes a matter of personal choice, keep it private.

Out of curiosity!

In my case, it was Jackie Brown (UK profile), 42 votes.
Second best Bones Season One (US profile), 40 votes.

I got -38 : 0 on 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring'
(for adding Buch-Sequenzen, Pre-Viz-Sequenzen, Kostüm-Sequenzen, Diashow-Sequenzen
to the existing 'Other Features' Storyboard-Sequenzen - and for warning against TigiHof).

And +63 : 0 on 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'
(for adding 'Edition' based on the spine).

With a total of 101, I assume to be the winner in the category "Greatest bandwidth in mainstream contributions".

I don't do big movies (there are plenty of others who do) so I've never gotten over 20.
Latest contribution: An update to John Ford's The Prisoner of Shark Island. Votes so far: 1.

Mh? I can't see your contribution? Or is it not the MoC release?

Nope, it's the Ford at Fox Collection.

Ah, of course, forgot about that release. But thanks, you reminded me to check for a comparison which (not surprisingly) I found at the beaver. Damn, looks like another reasons to buy the Ford set. Fortunately my MoC isn't worthless though because of the different audio commentary...

Of the last 30 days the one with the most votes is for "Forrest Gump: Special Collector's Edition" with 63 so far.

I can't recall the highest though.

I once got 51 correct yes-votes, and one funny-no-vote (from dear user SpaceFreakMicha, his counter-argument was "what player did you use to check?") and got it declined.

Believe me, the accuracy of a contribution means nothing with reference to 'Released' or 'Declined'.

To verify about the usefulness of the "funny-no-vote" as you call it, it might have been helpful to specify the kind of change you made with your contribution. The way you put it, it can only be seen as name calling.
The decision about acception or rejection of a profile is solely with the screeners, they may use the votes of the users as a guideline, but they don't have to.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I'm not him, but. You mention it if you change the running time, the audio soundtrack or the video format for something different from what is written on the cover.
