I'll have to rejig the other two studio submissions to make them match Clones.  The DVD does list Lucasfilm first and much more prominently than 20th Century, but I can see DVDP wants the Theatrical Releasing company first, production second, DVD releasing third.

I will have to pop my DVDs in.  I was fairly sure that 20th came first in the credits.

But Rooster is quite right - the rules specify which order we place the studios, irrespective of how they are ordered in the actual credits.

"Ltd." is the same as "Inc." and shouldn't be in there.  The studio should just be "Lucasfilm."

In principle I'd have to agree (although it seems a bit "naked" without the Ltd. in this case)

Sorry guys, I am going to have to disagree with you.  The contribution rules state : "Do not abbreviate Studio names. e.g, use Universal Pictures not just Universal"

In this case, every instance of "Lucasfilm Ltd." on the cover, the spine, the DVD itself, it is always written precisely that way, with the Ltd. at the end.  So we have to be consistent, and always refer to it as "Lucasfilm Ltd."

Furthermore, I just popped the DVD in the drive, the copyright notice at the end of the film during the credit sequence comes up with "Lucasfilm Ltd."  In my humble opinion, to call the studio anything else would be erroneous.

Hey man, I am sleazy and easy to please.  If the majority decision is to call the studio Lucasfilm, I will certainly go along with that.  However, I feel strongly that we are making an error by dropping the "Ltd." as I can find no reference to "Lucasfilm" without the "Ltd." anywhere on the DVD, the credits, the cover, the copyright, or even the Lucasfilm.com webpage!

But hey, I won't lose sleep over it.  I'll keep "Lucasfilm Ltd." as the studio in my collection because I feel it is correct, if others want to zap the "Ltd." portion, that's the beauty of purchasing a fully-configurable DVD tracking chunk of software.

I understand that, but 20th IS the theatrical release studio AND, if memory serves, it came first in the credits.  I believe you will find that, for the vast majority of 'big budget films', the theatrical release studio will always come first in the credits.

There has been some discussion as far as I recall, regarding corporate identifiers (which Ltd. is), and the concensus was to leave them out.. But you are correct, Sir - it's not in the rules...

Slight correction.  There is not link in the rules to the studio thread.  Hasn't been since the move from IVS.

It's also irrelevant in this case, as Lucasfilm isn't in the list!
My two-penneth is that we've been told to drop the Ltd and Inc from everyone else, why start making exceptions?
