Yep. In a database every dataset has to have a primary-key, which has of course to be unique.

For DVD Profiler this key is either UPC/EAN and Locality or DiscID and Locality.

e.g. the fictitious DVD with the UPC 123456-789012 from Germany. In the database this will end up as 123456789012.5 ... now you want to submit the same DVD for Austria: You just change the Locality and as soon as you do this the profile will become 123456789012.40 a different dataset and contributable as such[1]
Same thing if you keep the locality but change the UPC to a different UPC or a DiscID.

[1] This is called "cloning" and you have of course to make sure that your cloned data really is correct, but this still beats all the typing in my opinion.

Just change the UPC and set it to the disc ID. Then you cna contribute.

You need to change the "UPC" to the disc-id or the profile will remain a manual profile and thus, not submittable. This is not the same thing as setting the disc-id inside the profile.

The DiscID can be entered at two places:

The lower one is just any datafield. If you are bored you can add the same DiscID to each and every profile you have. Just as all profiles can carry the same Actor or the same Directer etc. pp.
The upper one is the critical, because this is (part of) the primary-key, see my previous post.

From what I gather, you have made the profile a "manual" which are not contributable because e.g. "M1" is of course far from unique. Follow Tweeter's advice and everything should be peachy.
