| Posted: | | | | Eeek. I just got a new laptop with Vista on it and just tried to export my collection to my iPod but get an error window after a sliver of green in the top progress bar, and about 25% in the bottom. The error window has the title "Microsoft .NET Framework" and this message: Quote: Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this eror and attempt to continue.
Index was outside the bounds of the array. When I click on the Detail button, this information is displayed: Quote: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.
For example:
<configuration> <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" /> </configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box. When I click on Continue it just sits there and the progress bar doesn't move. I've left itfor 15 minutes so far, and no progress has been made. I'm suspecting it's stuck. | Posted: | | | | Re: My last post
After some experimenting I've discovered the following:
1. If I uncheck both "Display Covers" and "Compress Files" it works fine.
2. If I uncheck only "Display Covers" I get a similar (maybe same, not sure on the details section) error as before.
3. If I uncheck only "Compress Files" it works, sort of. In the end it appears to export all information, but the progress bar immediately gets a (Not Responding) status for a while before jumping to a 100% green bar (from 0%) when the export is complete.
So, to summarize: I can export the collection without covers just fine. I can export the collection with covers but the application hickups a little bit. I cannot export the collection if choose to compress the files.
For my needs this is fine. I don't need to compress the files, I've got enough space on my iPod. Just wanted to give you an update on what I've found out.

| Posted: | | | | Hi KM,
Thanks for the update, I'll have to take a look at it next week. But from what I can gather. There are two different problems. Seems like compress Files has an issue and I'll have to take a closer look at that. The "Not Responding" problem is because of the moving of all the jpegs to the ipod, it's still working though but I'll fix that also.

| Posted: | | | | an Idea for the iPod touch... would i be possible to use the excellent foto viewing implementation for that. Not notes?
I would love to export my collection as coverscans which have a configurable name.. for example [title]-[col nbr].jpg When stored in seperate folders by the first letter of the movie, you could browse through your collection quite easily on the ipod touch |

| Posted: | | | | perfect... in the meantime i try something with an idea that just came up in my mind Create a single page report with a nice large cover.. title on top... some little basic infos on bottom.. and print that using a printerdriver that generates single page jpgs out of the output.. that should give me the option to bring it to my ipod touch as a foto-folder |

One of the things to check for is, do you have your ipod enabled for disk use? Open itunes and there should be a checkbox allowing you to enable this. | | | The Other DVD Forum Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? |

| Posted: | | | | This sounds to be an excellent plugin, but I also have iPod Touch that is not supported yet. Thanks all the same, tlevel, for your work and generosity to other users!
I'll keep checking on this thread every once in a while to see if you have implemented iPod Touch for your plugin at some point. | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |

| Posted: | | | | When/if you start developing iTouch app, please try and make it compatible with the iPhone as well. Although I believe if it works for the touch it should automatically work with the iPhone as well.
Thanks! |
