| Posted: | | | | I don't understand! Now people suddenly have a problem with having RULES?????????????????????????????????????????????? I wasn't on the other site when there was no rules. And to what I have heard of this, it's bad. Can anyone who actually have experienced this tell us how it was? I wan't rules, and to disregard rules you don't like, is just plain wrong. And this will open up ping-ponging of data. I like to play ping-pong, but not in here. | | | Last edited: by pompel9 |

Skip It's not a case of not comprehending, it's a case of following the rules. | | | Guns don't kill people. Hammers do. |

Rules are fine. I approve of rules. I LIKE rules. But sometimes, rules are too rigid. They don't allow for any flexibility when new situations come up that require doing things differently to maintain efficiency. In the military, somebody who follows the rules too closely is called a martinet, and creates dissension and morale problems, and in extreme cases gets people killed. While I'm sure nobody will get killed over any of this, we sure as hell could do with some flexibility, and a bit less of the "follow the rules at all cost" attitude.
Obviously you missed the point. [For those who still don't get it: Flexibility within the context of the rules is more important than following the strict letter of the rules. Flexibility will allow for a better, more efficient end product without adversely affecting the product.] Wow, things have come around 180 degrees. I remember making same sort of argument long time ago about names and being shot down with the exact words, "you can do what you want with your local database, but follow the rules" by some of the same folks who are arguing for flexibility. | Posted: | | | | Ken makes the rules, so why you think you can just do what you want and decide what's wrong or not? Just keep it local, so nobody would have a problem as it doesn't violates the rules. | | | Last edited: by SpaceFreakMicha |

Skip Then there was an imposter Skipnet50 removing info from the master profile for the past year. Better watchout for him. You have been advoacting for a year and a half that the master profile should be treated the same as a box set, removing most if not all of the data. You even helped John create his thread about it at IVS LINKMost of us can admit when we are wrong. I admit I did not think Ken would be concerned with using the IMDb as a source due to legal reasons. His statement where he says he does not want to use "any one source" for legal reasons seems to make me wrong (although I still maintain it was not for you to tell us what his concerns were) I can admit my mistake and I'm glad Ken cleared it up for us. Just wondering why you have done an apparent 180 on this yet seem to think it was the other guy who "either don't want to get it or can't.<shrugs>" | | | Last edited: by lyonsden5 |

| Posted: | | | | I have not removed any data from TV Masters for a very long time, Rick. Nice try. I don't include it when I upload data but i don't remove. Any more smartass or derogatory comments you wish to make. Unlike Hal, who is busily TRYING to remove Boxset data despite the consensus, ooo I forgot he is hiding behind HIS interpretation of the Rules. If you also RECALL , Rick I wnet on the record relative TV Series within minutes of the Official posting of the Rules. Get over it and yourself, Whatever your problem is with me. | Posted: | | | | If I was wrong then I again will be the first to admit it. I was simply replying to this statement: Quoting skipnet50: Quote: I have agreed with this all along. I obviously misunderstood your "all along" statement. I thought it meant all along, not I used to do it one way but I changed at some point in time. My bad. I do apologize |
