LOL... well if you want to put something on a todo list  ... how about this...

Now I have an embedded trailer for 13 Going on 30 (gotta love Jennifer Garner!)

So under the video it says... Trailer: 6k74VTwbC-Q

Is there any way to make it just say trailer and not show the youtube code??

No I missed it, sorry!

In the next update I'll code in an option to see or not to see the code

Wow... Can't wait to make that works!

I just can't figure out what I must add in the Note section... From what I understand for a YouTube clip it's :

Quote:
<videos youtube=[code] />

and I change [code] with the code found in the "Embed" section on the clip's page.

Here's what I have for Pan's Labyrinth :

Quote:
<videos youtube=<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EqYiSlkvRuw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EqYiSlkvRuw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> />

Here's the problems :
  • The video appears in the HTML window AND in the note section.

  • The video appears 4 times in the HTML windows with some codes...

  • Thanks for the help!

    Now this time Xyrano will REALLY want to kill me

    This is already extremely cool but it would be even better if we created our own online index of videoclips.  I'm not talking about hosting the videos themselves, just an online list of video iD's.  The script (or maybe a new one) would chechk the list of available clips from our online index and display it in a menu and/or links in the HTML window.  We click on the one we want and it starts playing, we wouldn't even need the code in the Notes field anymore, just the script in a HTML window.

    Xyrano, do you hate me yet ?

    I found this better:

    if (i==3) {
        html = "to Watch a trailer click any link below<br /><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=" + DP_Title + "&search=Search'>YouTube</a><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=" + DP_Title + "'>Google Video</a><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://www.videodetective.com/'>VideoDetective.com</a><br />";
      }

    this way you can just go to a site to watch a trailer instead. Any one know the link to quicktime trailers?

    I considered the links myself (he does have that option with his code) but I decided I wanted it displayed in the window as I don't like it opening IE... would probably reconsider if it opened in my default browser.

    I can't help you with quicktime... sorry.

    I have taken a quick look. They don't seem to provide links to the videos and so far I have not seen a certain scheme for the video pages (simply not looked close enough though).

    Without the links, you'd have to link directly to their video pages and could not just display the video locally.

    No, you just add a <videos [player]=[code] /> to the notes section of each DVD

    I have added another video provider, the german Myviodeo.de. They have some german trailers online and it may be interesting for other Germans...
    I added Myvideo to the vid array:
    Quote:
    // -------- Configuration block - Start --------
    // "Player name", "Notes field attribute", "Player URL", "Player link path", "Player embed path", "Player as link"
    var vid = new Array(
      ["Google", "googlevideo=", "http://video.google.com/", "videoplay?docid=", "googleplayer.swf?docId=", false, []],
      ["Video Detective", "videodetective=", "http://www.videodetective.com/", "codes/player.swf?PublishedID=", "codes/player.swf?PublishedID=", true, []],
      ["YouTube", "youtube=", "http://www.youtube.com/", "watch?v=", "v/", false, []],
      ["MyVideo", "myvideo=", "http://www.myvideo.de/", "watch/", "movie/", false, []],
      ["@"]
    );

    You should as well change the line
    Quote:
    if (i==3) html = "No Videos Available<br />";
    to
    Quote:
    if (i==4) html = "No Videos Available<br />";
    as there is now one more provider.

    Edit:
    Or, if you are using the version with direct search links, you can use this:
    Quote:
    if (i==4) {
    html = "No Videos Available<br /><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=" + DP_Title + "&search=Search'>Search YouTube</a><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=" + DP_Title + "'>Search Google Video</a><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://www.videodetective.com/'>Open VideoDetective.com</a><br />"
        html += "<a target='_blank' href='http://www.myvideo.de/online/page.php?P=117&volltext=" + DP_Title + "&Submit=Suche'>Search MyVideo</a><br />";
      }

    No, you just add a <videos [player]=[code] /> to the notes section of each DVD

    The code shows on my note page and video plays on the trailer HTML page is this the right way?

    <videos youtube=z41Ikg6wSws/> is listed under notes for Training Day then when I click on trailer tab which I made the html from copying detlefs the video shows up.

    Only thing that sucks is having the code showing under notes tab but it is kewl.

    If you turn on "Use HTML for notes" in Options > Display, the tags will be hidden in the Notes tab.
