| Posted: | | | | I just noticed the descprition for the pictogram for Drugs- en/of alcoholmisbruik has been changed on the site of Kijwijzer to Roken, alcohol en drugsNot sure when, so not sure if, and if so starting at which releases, we should change our rating details for Dutch releases. NB: if i recall correctly this is the second time this descritption changed as it used to be Durgs- en/of Alcohol gebruik instead of misbruik, but i may be mistaken here... Any suggestions or more information? Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Drugs- en/of alcoholmisbruik was used till November 2015 Drugs- en/of alcoholgebruik was used till April 2022 So "Roken, alcohol en drugs" is already used from April 2022
And a little sidenote nounces like "alcoholgebruik" should be written lowercase according the Dutch capitalization rules. |

Than i guess a lot of profiles will need to have their ratingdetails corrected… Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I think most of the Dutch profiles are not that bad. The profiles that are copied from crappy Belgian profiles and haven't been updated properly are probably the biggest problem. |

| Posted: | | | | I think I've requested this two years ago, but like other changes nothing is done with this. |

| Posted: | | | | I don't know if this has happened in other countries/ratingsystems.
For the second time, the description of a rating detail (symbol) has been changed. Should the description for all profiles where this symbol is used be updated now, or only the profiles from the date when the change took place? |

| Posted: | | | | This is the trouble with using symbols... I have no need for different variants, so, just like the last time, I've updated my profiles to reflect the current description. |

| Posted: | | | | The question now is, should we only change the rating details to the latest iteration of the entries with a release date of April 2022 and further on (which will be a pain to know, since a lot of releases don't have (correct) release dates) or can we change all? Edit: Sorry Gamemaster, I just noticed that you have already asked the above question. But still, I do think it is important to know that we have some consensus about the correct way of handling this. Additionally, I am not sure if it was already mentioned elsewhere, but Kijkwijzer also introduced a new rating detail. in this case " Gevaarlijke challenges of stunts". This rating info will have the following icon: This will not be of any issue to add to the rating details section, but it was something I recently noticed at their website. | | | DVD Profiler for iOS since: January 9, 2011 (no longer using) DVD Profiler for Android since: June 6, 2013 | | | Last edited: by Hotm@iler |

| Posted: | | | | I've checked my database and I still have all three variants in my database. Although the previous change was subtle, I can still remember that this was an issue then and that I had no votes on a number of contributions. Given the reactions in this topic, I don't expect this to happen again It would have been best if the symbols themselves could be added as details, but that will never happen, because even simple errors after the server migration are not fixed. I was initially curious whether similar situations had already occurred in other localities and how this was handled. Unfortunately, no one has been able to clarify this so far. I can live with both options as long as it is done by everyone. So either the same description for the symbol everywhere or the 3 different descriptions based on the release date. I think I have a slight preference for keeping it at 1 description because that is the clearest. That does mean that I have to adjust a few hundred profiles and if the description changes again, I would have to do this again. For now I'm waiting for the screeners' verdict on whether they approve this for old profiles or not. As I said, I would prefer to see that you could choose symbols, because apart from the 3 variants for this one symbol I also see different ways of writing it. In particular (copied) Belgian profiles often use capitalized versions such as "Roken, Alcohol en Drugs" of "Grof Taalgebruik". It would be nice if that was also limited to capitalizing the first letter and only the first rating detail. |

| Posted: | | | | Agree with you both, the easiest would be to just change all profiles to match the current rating description. Although that may not be the most correct solution.
However, considering the difficulty having to add three different descriptions depending on the release date, which also may not be correct, and the difficulty establishing when this change was made (i do believe Gamemaster when he says 2015 and 2022, but i have not seen any documenatition supporting this).

| Posted: | | | | I've succesfully submitted "Roken, alcohol en drugs" into the Rating Details field of a couple of hundred Dutch profiles by now - they've all been approved without a hitch. |
