| Posted: | | | | I got the S24 Ultra, too, and because DVD Profiler is still a 32-bit app, it will not work on Android 14. You cannot install it. I really hope they update the app and get it back on the Google Play Store soon. This is an essential app to me; it always sits on the first page of my home screen! |

| Posted: | | | | It will work, but the app is no longer available in the Google Play store. Use Samsung's Smatch Switch to transfer the app to your new phone. |

| Posted: | | | | Hello Invelos, I'm also one of those affected :-(. I transferred everything from the Galaxy S22 Ultra to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Only the DVD Profiler wasn't installed. I love the DVD Profiler and tried to install the APK, but it doesn't work. Message: Is not compatible with your smartphone. I hope they recompile the program or release the source code so it can be compiled for the new smartphones. | | | Und das ganze nochmal wiederholen, nicht zur Strafe, nur zur Übung. |

All phones with a Snapdragon 8 gen 3 processor will not be able to install any 32-bit app because the processor itself is blocking the app's installation. This is a hardware block. If the phone comes with a Snapdragon 8 gen 2, like the S23 series, you can install the app before upgrading the software to Android 14. If you updated to Android 14, you can still install it through the ADB trick. For all the phones with Snapdragon 8 gen 3, it is impossible to install in any way unless the manufacturer adds an emulator to make 32-bit apps work, just like Xiaomi did. Google, OnePlus, and Samsung will not support 32-app anymore, so our only option is for Invelos to update the app to 64-bit. The main problem is not the app's availability on the Play Store. You can download it from other sources and install it on older devices. The problem is that the app is not compatible anymore with new devices and new versions of Android. | | | Last edited: by halimali |

My previous phone was an iPhone and Samsung's Smart Switch didn't do the job. It will not work on the S24 because it is blocked from its processor. Any phone with Snapdragon 8 gen 3 will block all 32-bit apps except Xiaomi phones. |

How about Exynos? I recently got an S24+ (I'm in Europe, so sadly no Snapdragon) and I managed to export the .apk file on my old Android 10 phone but it won't install on Android 14 ("not compatible"). |

| Posted: | | | | As for the *.apk , keep looking. Be careful of viruses on off brand sites. When you find it, keep a copy in a safe place in case you need it. I have seen emulator apps in the Play Store. No idea if they work. The new phones usually don't offer a SD card slot, and I have a lot of music I have ripped over the years. It would chew up a lot of space on a new phone. Best of luck! |

| Posted: | | | | Essentially if you want an S24 or better (and I think the latest iPhone processors are the same) and want to keep using the Android App you'll have to keep an old phone just for that (no need for a contract or SIM though as you'll only Sync with Wi-Fi), unless/until (hopefully) a 64bit version gets released, which sadly seems unlikely with little or zero new cash going in to develop it.
If someone has Ken's contact details and sounds him out on a potential 'crowdfunded' one off update to a 64 bit version to futureproof it for practical purposes, that would be great, but I don't *believe* anyone is left in that position. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |
