| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I am having a bit of a "back and forth" with another user regarding contributions from the UK publisher "Anime Limited". It uses the online store name and label name "All the Anime" on its releases, but "Anime Limited" is the actual company name.
Another user means that the name should be abbreviated to just "Anime" because of the "omit company sufflixed" ("Ltd." and such) rule.
I, on the other hand, argue for using the whole name "Anime Limited" in the media company section, because:
A: I feel the "Limited" part is not really a sufflix in this case, but part of the name as a whole, B: It then breaks the "Do not abbreviate Studio or Media Company names" contribution rule, and c: Just calling this specific company "Anime" would be far too diffuse and generic, and generate confusion.
I would really like som input this specific case. I really think I interpret the contribution rules in the right way, but I don't want to be the one to break them if I would be in the wrong.

| Posted: | | | | This is definitely a tricky one, because, as you say, entering the Studios information as "Anime" doesn't make any sense. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |
