Today I tried to change the layout I'm using and got this message:

The file formate is newer than this version of dvd profiler.
You will need to obtain a newer copy of dvd profiler to proceed.

I click on the OK button and the program crashes.

I'm a registered user. My key is OK. The program works just fine unless i try to change the layout.

As anyone know why?

Thanks!

Do you get this message for all layouts or is it a specific layout that you're trying load?

Also, have you had the beta installed at all, but gone back to 3.02?

I simply cannot change my layout.
I click on the layout folder and the program crashes after that message.

I've downloaded the beta a few days ago to run some tests.
Do you think that as got to do with it? Some lost key on the reg system?

The layouts installed with 3.0.3 require that version.  The crash should not be hapenning, but the error is normal.  You can either reinstall 3.0.3, or remove the new layouts from your My Documents\DVD Profiler\Layouts directory then reinstall 3.0.2.

Sorry Ken i took so long to give you an answer.

I followed your suggestion and move to version 3.0.3.
Problem solved.
But after I installed 3.0.3 (which i did in a different directory) I lost my 3.0.2 version.
And now both links apply to 3.0.3 version.
Is this what is supposed to happened.
Since 3.0.3 is still beta i don't want to lose my standard edition (3.0.2), or do you think it's OK?

I can't speak for Ken, or anyone else for that matter, but my experience with 3.03 has been error free up to now.  I run XP Home on an older Dell Dimension 4100 with 512MB of RAM and a 256MB nVidia GeForce 5900 AGP.  I've run all versions of DVD Profiler on this system since 2001 with little or no problems at all .  I keep telling myself, "time to upgrade my PC" but since I don't play video games anymore, I really haven't had the need to.

I'm not having any problems either.
The thing is are you running both versions on your system?
Because i was, for a short testing period, and all over sudden i wasn't able to load layouts on 2.0.2
So i uninstall 2.0.3 but the problem kept going. I've reinstall 2.0.3 on a different directory and lost 2.0.2 and gained two different 2.0.3 installations. So I'm asking is this OK? After you install 2.0.3 you lost your 2.0.2 access, or are you still running both on your system?

No.  I backed up my database and installed 3.03 over 3.02.  Running only 3.03 now.
