I search the online help, all menus, the forums... but to no avail.
I think I've read that you can copy the cast information (or every section for that matter) from one profile to another. Can anyone please tell me how ?
Tnx

Ok, open the Edit window of the profile you want to copy from in DVD Profiler 3.0
Goto the Cast or Crew you wish to copy from.

Right click the cast data, and select "Copy All Cast"

Close that edit window

Open edit window of the profile you wish to copy to.

Goto the Cast or Crew you wish to copy to.

Right click - select "Paste All Cast"

You will be asked "This will overwrite the exsisting cast infomation" - click yes - note, you need to answer yes, even if there is nothing to paste over.

Then you are done

Good to know.

Just wondering though, can you copy from more than one profile into another.

There are several TV Series, where there is little or no cast/crew info in the parent profile but there are in the child profiles. So I was wondering if there is anyway to copy/paste all of the cast/crew from the TV series child profiles into the TV Series parent profile?

Thanks.

The easiest way to do this right now is by copying the cast or crew into a text program (like Notepad in Windows).  If you look at the code, you'll see something lke this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<CastInformation>
  <Title>24: Season One: Disc Three</Title>
  <Actors>
    <Actor FirstName="Kiefer" MiddleName="" LastName="Sutherland" BirthYear="0" Role="Jack Bauer" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/>
    <Actor FirstName="Leslie" MiddleName="" LastName="Hope" BirthYear="0" Role="Teri Bauer" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/>
    <Actor FirstName="Sarah" MiddleName="" LastName="Clarke" BirthYear="0" Role="Nina Myers" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/>

And so on... until the last two lines

  </Actors>
</CastInformation>

If you cut and paste the new profile below this (put a couple of spaces for safety), you can select everything between <Actors> and </Actors> and copy it just above the first </Actors>.  When you are done with the multiple cutting and pasting like this, select everything between the first line and </CastInformation> and Paste All Cast/Crew back in the profile.

To make things easier, you can use:

<Divider Caption="Whatever Your Divider Name Is"/>

above each group of actors/crew to divide the data among the discs.

Is this maybe a new feature in the last beta release ?
In my version (3.0.2 b1124) all I get when rightclicking is Photo Indicators.

You have to do the right-click in the Edit mode...

Another way you could do it...import the require profile into your wish list/purchased list or even owned list, then just change the piece's relevant to your locality i.e. Region indicator, SRP, you could even chage the EAN/UPC via the menu's at the top...saves a lot of typing at the end of the day.
