I have purchased this product due to reviews that you could easily create a .csv file to import into the harmony remotes.  However, now the only option is xml, and it is nearly impossible to get the disc location/slot correct.  Please help.

I have downloaded the available ones, maybe I am missing something.  Is there another location other than ->downloads>plugins?

Mithi created some XLST's. With one of them you can easily convert the XML output to CSV
His site is http://www.dvd-welt.de/privat/xsl.html

Fred:

I have never seen any claims made here relative to Harmony Remotes. You said you   bought it based on reviews, I would suggest that you try to contact the authors of these reviews and ask what they are talking about and how they did it.

Well, detlefs already mentioned my site. If you need help adapting the csv.xsl just post exactly how the CSV has to look to be importable to the Harmony.

cya, Mithi

PS And by the way, the CVS-Export of 2.x didn't export Slot and Location, so the possibilities with XML/XSLT are even wider!

Actually I don't believe there is anything he could do with a CSV and a Harmony. I have one too (885), but never saw any feature allowing me to upload a CSV with any kind of movie data...
But I'm willing to learn, Fred please post here, what you do with the CSV on your Harmony...

Well, as I have neither a Harmony nor a DVD-Changer I can only gaze in my crystal ball ...
But imagine you could browse thru the DVD-titles on your remote and the remote knows which DVD-change-slot to play ... sounds good to me.

not familiar with dvd changers on the Harmonys, but I used to use the Harmony to control my 20 disc CD changer, and it had the ability to select CDs by artist/title. The changer has since been replaced by a Slim Devices Squeezebox.

WOW thanks a lot.  The csv is to be in this format.

Genre,Title,Index
Unused,Kill Bill,11
Unused,Jackie Brown,12
Unused,Pulp Fiction,13
Unused,Resevoir Dogs,14

I would think index = slot

When you go to the logitech program, and select a dvd changer, there is an option to set up media.  On that screen, you can manually enter the discs and location or you can select to upload a csv file.

because you can use the harmony, to select a dvd by title and the macro will actually control the dvd changer and load the appropriate disk.
