Hi All:
I am new to using DVD Profiler.  I have a number of DVDs I want to show as a backup copy.  I have search the forum and database and could find nothing that addresses this issue.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

You can't, backup copies are just that, no real difference from a DVD you make of off television which is also NOT contrbutable or the DVD you made of your wedding day or whatever.

"Set Tags" field. Right click, "Edit Tags...", "Add Tag...", then type in whatever you want. For example, "Backup". Tick the check box next to the tag for your profiles for backups.

He's going to have to do more than that, Grendell. I assume by backup, he means he also owns the original disc and the system will not allow us, without some manipulation to enter duplicate copies. He would have to invent a UPC, for his own use or something.

All he has to do is use disk ID to enter the profile.

There are several ways to mark it as a backup, especially since you won't be contributing the profile.

Tags - as already suggested
Notes field
Edition field
Among others, you can even use the Title field if you want.

I really appreciate everyone's input regarding my backup copy into the database problem.  To clarify, I own the original DVDs and I made backups of some of them.  I want to be able to input a duplicate into the database but show it as a backup.

Thanks again for all your help and support!!!

What exactly is a tag?  I added a tag but I'm not sure what it does.  I printed a report but I don't see the "tag" field in the report (which I was hoping would show "backup").  Is there a way I can add this field to a report??
