Trying to confirm my email and its been over 20 mins and the confirmation (or the 2nd attempt).

Any idea how I can get it to come through?

NOTE: I own the domain name, it doesn't have any serverside spam filtering and I have disable spam for the moment to assure.

I've heard the confirmation email doesn't come through until Invelos receive the confirmation of payment from Paypal - which may be where the hold up is.
You can get your registration information by clicking on "Registration" above. The eye logo next to your name means the system already recognises you as a premium user.

I have been a member since before 2.0, I just updated to 3.0 and got the new version installed. However I needed to confirm my email so that I can contribute.

Sooo I have clicked the link to send confirmation but so far... nadda.

Seems to be ok your registration: inveloslogo before your name in the forum. Your details are under forummenu registration
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

I seem to remember that thare was a delay of 7 or 10 days after you registered before you could contribute with the old v2 program / site - its possible the same sort of restriction is in place here?

(Yes I know it should count the previous time at the old site as part of your 'days' - but it probably doesn't)

He's not receiving the email, there wasn't a waiting period for that.

Vidd, do you have another email address you could try? It would also be worth speaking to your ISP to see if they can work out what's going on. Otherwise I suggest you send a PM to Ken or Gerri Cole to see of they've had it bounced back.

I noticed you said you were a user "since before 2.0" - do you still have the same email now as then?
Is it possible that the confirmation is going to an email account that you don't use anymore?

I updated my email to a brand new email address. I own the domain that the email is going to and Host the domain on my own server, so I have complete control over the settings and I have have disabled spam trapper completely.

At this point I am checking with my domain hosting company just to make sure they are not running any *other* spam software that they have not told me about. However, given the 600plus spam messages I have gotten in the last 2 days, it seems very unlikely.

Ken has emailed me at the email address and we have had a few replies each way, so I still think it is something with the automated messages for verifying the email address.

thanks for all the feedback, sorry my news is not better.

UPDATE: I used my gmail account and *that* did get the verification, so I am all set now! WOOOOOT!

Soooo, waiting for domain hosting company to get back to me, might be having words with them if they have a spam blocking that I am not aware of.

VW~
