dvd region has changed on profiles update?

Hi.
Recently I did a complete update of all my dvd profiles, and have now found that nearly 200 of my region 4 dvds now display as 0 or 1,4 or 2,4 or multi region. I was wondering is this normal, and if not what causes it?

If this has been asked before I am sorry, but I did search first and couldn't find an answer.

If you mean you've downloaded updates for your DVDs from Invelos then the chances are somebody has changed the region coding having checked it using tools such as DVDInfo Pro and IFOEdit etc...

We don't just go with the region mentioned on the cover but what is actually set on the disc.

It happens quite often that the region information on the DVD cover is incorrect and that in reality a disc is playable in more regions than the one where you bought the DVD. Checking it with a tool like DVDInfoPro will tell you exactly what the correct information is.
