hi

sorry 4 my english (i´m not a native speaker).
i lost my computer in a very tragic way ( ) and now, with the new one i reinstalled dvd-profiler 2.4.
downloaded my complete collection from the server and reentered my keycode.
if i want to put a new dvd to this collection i get an error.
"This file format is newer than this version of DVD Profiler. You will need to obtain a newer copy of DVD Profiler to proceed".

2.4 Build 868 was the only version i used.

The other thing is: there are no more cover-pictures - if i try to download them, i got the same message.

thx a lot for your help

Basically what happened is that we are up to version 3.0.3 now... and the version you are using is no longer supported.

Since you had to reinstall the program... it seems you also now need the main database downloaded again... since the site now only supports version 3 there isn't anything that Invelos can do that I know of.

Sounds like you will have to upgrade to 3.0 unless you can find someone else that still has 2.4 that can send you the files you need... unfortunately I personally can't tell you which files they are.

Best bet... by suggestion would be to download version 3... if you have a premium account you do not have to pay again.. you can convert your 2.4 key into a 3.0 key for free.

The database for 2.4 is not updated any more.
If you paid for version 2.4, you can convert it to a version 3.0 key for free by clicking "Registration" above.
You can then backup your database in 2.4 and restore it in version 3.0.

If you want to continue using version 2.4, you need to find someone who has the old dvds.dod and onlinelist.dod files who can send them to you, because a clean install won't work without these files.
After that, you'll be able to add DVDs manually only.

I hope this helps!

Edit: Pete beat me to it! Now where did I put that garlic....?

Oh what to do... what to do when you are an Italian Vampire... half of me craves the garlic and the other half shrivels in fear and disgust. Talk about liking something that is bad for you!

If you are using version 3.0 there should be pictures.  If you are using version 2.4 I am not sure you can get the pictures back since the online database supports only version 3.0 now. The images have been renamed to the new format... and version 2.4 is looking for the old filenames. So not sure if there is anything you can do about that now. I could be wrong though... and someone else may be able to help you.
