Hello,

I just upgraded my DVD Profiler from version 2.4 to 3.1. I had an Unlimited Registration Key for v2.4 and I created a new account on the Invelos site and transfered my key. The registration key is showing up on the site and I entered my new key when i installed v3.0. Now when i try to upload my collection i can login, but the upload is about to start I get the message that my database now contains more then 50 profiles and the selected upload account does not a registration or subscription.

What did i do wrong ?
Thanks in advance.

Make sure you're uploading to the upgraded account.

Your key is certainly valid cos there's an eye logo next to your name.
But have you entered your registration information into the program exactly as it reads on the registration page - including your name?
The registration is case sensitive and has also been known to be very unhappy if the name includes any accents.

I checked everything, and it all seems correct, but I still can't upload. On the other hand, i have no problems contributing profile changes or new dvd's to the online database.

I must confess though that I did something weird while registering. When I created my InterVocative account, several years ago, I used a fake name and a hotmail address, because I'm not that fond of spreading around my personal data. After one or two years, i bought myself a DVDProfiler key, but i kinda forgot i used a fake name when i created the account. Luckely I still had the original confirmation email, or I would never have remembered what what name to use when I upgraded my account to an Invelos account last night. Once I entered my original name and key, I then entered my real name and email address (by now I know Ken can be trusted ) when creating the Invelos account on the next page. After creating my account I never got a confirmation mail though. When I noticed I couldn't upload (but i could contribute), I changed my email address and right away changed it back to my real address and clicked on the email verification link, and this time I got the email and I used the activation link in the email. But still I can't upload.

Ken, could you or someone else take a look at my account to see if something is wrong. Do you need me to PM you any data ?

Thanks in advance.

You guys need to get on the ball a bit better with your registration and upgrades.  I am getting the EXACT same message upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1.  In addition, I had registration problems when upgrading from 2.4 to 3.0 originally.  Why are you guys screwing around with the registration?  Whatever fix these other guys get, I need the same thing...

Waiting....

The issue which prevented some accounts from uploading has now been corrected.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  Please try it now and let me know if you have any further issues.

Thanks for taking care of this as quickly as you did.  However, it is very frustrating that every time there is a new version, I seem to get hit with all of the quirks/bugs, particularly as it pertains to data and registration.
