Welcome Page does not appear

I am just downloaded and installed 3.1.0, and I discovered that the "Welcome Page" does not appear at program startup.

If I select File > Welcome Page, the page appears and the checkbox "show this screen when DVD Profiler starts" is checked. But at startup, nothing happens.

I am using Windows XP Pro and my collections (local and online) are still empty.

It's not a serious bug, just a curiosity. Some ideas?

Dutch XP home, P4 1GB memory ram, standard windows layout (no window blinds or other skins or layout) welcome page behaves normaly.
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

I just checked for your problem on my PC everything works fine here.

Possibly your security software blocks popups?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

Works fine on my laptop and home PC (both XP) so I don't think it's a specifc to 3.1.0... I have had it occasionally not appear on lots of versions but only 'one in a hundred times' and I don't know why
