Greetings:

After upgrading to 3.1, Profiler shows my collection as "0" items.  I checked the folder where I saved the database and all the files appear to be there.  I ran the Repair utility, using "Full", but to no avail.

I'd rather not DL my online collection as it's a bit out of date, if I can help it.  But if that's what it takes...

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

What happens if you go to "Open Database" - is it listed there?

you did upgrade to 3.1 from what version (intervocative or invelos)?
do you have a backup?
for the invelos version you find the database at:
\documents & Settings\Username\My doucuments\DVD Profiler\Database

where username is your login as user in Windows XP
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

Suppusedly Invelos. His online collection shows roughly 800 profiles, so he must have used 3.0.3 before upgrading to 3.1.

Most probable cause is logging into a different Windows user.  Check that, then also look in File->Open Database as suggested.

I upgraded from 2.5 Beta.

I did, but it got trashed in an unrelated incident.

I know.  And I hate it there.  I copied it to a new location, and yes it was working at that location.

Nope.  This is a single-user machine.

Well, all nice attempts, but evidently I'm gonna have to bit the big one and just be happy with DL'ing my online database and re-enter the missing titles...<sigh>

Thanks for trying.

Installing 3.1 over 2.5 does not delete your collection, nor does it delete the 2.5 program.  Just run the 2.5 version and use File->Backup to create the backup file to restore into 3.1.  If you don't have an icon in your start menu any more, run it from Windows explorer.

If you uninstalled 2.5, just reinstall it from the downloads link at the bottom right of the home page at invelos.com- it won't affect your 3.1 installation either.
