Hi,

I am adding (locally, of course!) discs to my season boxes. Sometimes I don't have the DVD at hand (because it is currently running in the DVD player) and so I found the following bug:

Scenario:
- open "Add DVD" menu
- choose "Add by Title"
- uncheck Download from Invelos
- give it a name and personalize it
- add it to owned
- select the profile
- insert the DVD in the drive
- open "Change UPC"
- use disc id
- close DVDP
- reopen DVDP
- open "Add DVD" menu
--> there is your manual DVD again

I also noticed re-appearing manual profile in the pending additions a while ago, but I didn't do it like you did. Unfortunately I can't recall what I did exactly.

The Add DVD window is bringing it back since it can't find it in your collection any more in case there was some sort of error.  Clicking 'Remove' should get rid of it permanently.

it does, but they shouldn't be there to start with

I just had it happen again, created a manual profile, backed it up, deleted the profile and voila, there it was again in the pending window

This feature is intended to prevent loss of data.  We've had cases of home theater installers who've scanned thousands of profiles and during the download had a power failure or crash, corrupting the database and losing all the work.

Yes, removal does solve it.

But I don't see the usage. I assign a real ID (in this case the disc ID) to a manual profile and the profile "thinks" it has got lost?! Doesn't make sense to me.

Especially if you don't look a the "pending additions" list when you add your real next DVD (because you expect it to be empty). You re-enter unwillingly a profile you've already added.

What would happen if I take an existing UPC profile, add it and then change the UPC. Will the old UPC profile also reappear at "pending additions"? That would be the consequence, wouldn't it?

I understand that... for profiles using disc-id or upc/ean. But manual ones? Can't you exclude them from that routine?

I had the same sort of thing happen to me yesterday - I was creating some manual profiles to use as a group profile.

Then deleted one since I didn't want it anymore.

Then decided to add a new one (not the same as I had deleted). - and then found the original which I had deleted came back since it was put back into pending downloads as soon as it was deleted from the main list.

Only way round was to delete it from the pending downloads.
