CTRL does not help in my case. Still I can just see the application for a second, not longer. I also tried to reinstall, but that did no do the trick neither. Any other ideas ?

No I am not using blinds or anything alike

DVD profiler runs in savemode, also loading some standard plugins which are not loaded in normal mode. At the "profiler eye" only the first block gets orange.

Are there any parameters around to stop loading these plugins for testing ?

I tried pressing ALT like it is said in the FAQ, but then only the properties setting start, well XP standards ...

I just had a similar experience. DVDP would sometimes start and sometimes blow out with that annoying send/don't send error report. I found that my computer had been infected with Juan-Search virus. Very hard to get rid of. I dropped back to a ghost image I made last December. If your anitvirus doesn't pick it up what happens is while being on a web page another one just pops up usually for some winantivirus stuff or another ad. I traced mine back to a program I downloaded and when I contacted the webmaster he relayed to me somebody had hacked his site and added the virus to the program installer. Fortunately I was able to back up my data and was up and running again in about 2 hours. BTW Spybot didn't catch it at all.

Spybot is not an AntiVirus program! you should use an AV program and Spybot or simular program together.
