I just installed the program under Vista for the first time. I entered my registration data and then the program crashed. I renamed the data directory in Documents but it still crashes everytime I try to start the software. Can you please help? I have been using the software for many years now and can't miss it.

The crash happens immediately after running the software. The main windows does not even show, yet. I downloaded the latest version just half an hour ago.

Try uninstalling (selecting all options to remove everything) and reinstalling.

I did uninstall and reinstall the software. I even backed up my collection and deleted it. However, the same error still occurs. Please help!

For your information: I can run and use DVDprofiler 2.5 (Build 915) successfully. However, this displays an error, too, when I quit it (Access violation at address 000000000).

This was always the case and a known incompatibility as 2.x was never designed to work with Vista. Sadly the problems you are having with 3.x are not known and the programs are quite different.

No clue what the problem could be then. I've been running the program in Vista since April with no startup errors.

Hi,

do you use a software to customize vista desktop like WindowsBlind? If yes, maybe try to desactivate it for DVD Profiler and try to start it again to see if it works or not?
Regards
Cyrille
