Actually each time you add a DVD or do anything else with the profiles the program should download the latest update of the Online Profile List for you. Then clicking on Online|Update Profiles from IVS (or equivalent) should present you the list of updated profiles. But I thinnk you knew all that already.

So, yes, there have been regular updates to the online profile list, pretty much daily. If they didn't download for you, the first think you could check is whether changing to "Use alternatioe collection method" (or equivalent) does help you.

I've had something similar - every week (at least - its usually every other day or so) I pick up the updates to my profiles.

Nonethelesss I found I had some profiles that looked a little bare so I decided to just look if there was an update available for them and selected them individually and searched for an update.

In each case I found missing changes and in one I picked up cover download.

I can (sort of) explain the textual information not being there in that I might have marked the changes to be ignored. But I wouldn't do that with a cover where there was no current cover on the version on my PC.

I just wonder if all the updates appear.. I hate the thought of having to manually preview all my dvds looking for any changes..

I do have the same experiences as you, Paul. Not to keen on actually checking all my profiles either. However, I was under the impression Ralliart's problem was "larger" than that.

The funny part is I vote on DVD Submition and It got approuve but never DVDProfiler ask me to update this DVD to the newer version of this DVD (R.O.D. got new cast and crew per episode) ... But if I got on each DVD of R.O.D. and update manualy the DVD Profile I can get the newess profile...

Maybe there something wrong with the scan of the profile VS the online profile for the update?

Ralliart, like I said, if you don't get any updates at all, then I would think you have a problem with the downlaoding of the Online Profile List.

If you only have a few like that, then Paul explained and I confirmed, that it can happen occasionally.

Look at your option, maybe you have select this option : Hide updates for locked profiles/images

It cost nothing to verify, but I doubt that this is cause of your problem.

I try a few thing:
-empty my online collection with a empty database and reexport it again
-refresh all image for all profile
-do a database repair

none of those work for the update problem

Maybe i will open a support ticket for this problem.

That's what I'm doing at the moment. Luckily I have only about 340 DVD's to check (takes about 4hours).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
