In many of my profiles now appears a pop up-window "Type mismatch": what does it mean? What should I do to repair it? Thanks a lot for your help.

you wouldn't by any chance using Tom Gaines' CCV Awards plugin would you? If so then look at the most recent posts in this thread:

Tom had stated in the release notes for CC Viewer version 1.5.0 that there was in incompatibility between that new version and the plug in version 1.1. I had not RTFM  and hence had the same problem as you did, as well as the other cryptic message "Object reference is not set...."

If you follow the instructions that Tom gave to me (last but one post in that thread) & create a brand new database "just for the awards" (stick it somewhere other than where you've got your existing CCV "ViewerDatabase.mdb" file). Then you can get the awards window back up and running.....and be able to use the CCV itself.
