Hi,

I just downloaded DVD profiler 3.1 on my second PC. Now I want to download my online collection on this pc, but it gives the following error: "Socket error # 10061 Connection refused" and than, when I click on OK, it just says he's busy downloading but nothing happens.

What can I do?

I believe most socket errors are firewall issues. Check your security settings and check (or disable) any antivirus programs.

One program that frequently causes people grief seems to be Zone alarm.

If you intend to transfer your collection to another pc I would not recommend do download the online collection, because all local scans and headshots would disappear. So you should do this:

1. Make a full backup of your local database (select all options for backup)
2. the File is named something with *.dpb
3. Transfer this file on a removable memory device (or network drive)
4. Restore this file in the 2nd profiler

Zonealarm must not be the problem if proper configurated.

Yes I think as already said by kahless the better solution is to use a backup file to restore it on your second computer.

For your problem of connection, it could be a firewall and/or antivirus misconfiguration. Do you use any type of this software and if yes, which ? That could be helpfull for other users to help you.
You can also to use the option "Use alternate Internet connection method" in Tools -> Options -> Online.

Do you have made the "Test Internet Connection" ? What was the result ?

Cyrille
