I hope that I can get some help here.
I have v3.0 of profiler on my pc but no collection. I have no back up file BUT i do have my collection online. How do I download the collection online to my Profiler on my pc? Can this be done?

The problem is, that you cannot select the items you'd like to restore if you download your collection (similar to the local backup/restore function). Lately I accidentally clicked on download instead of upload. The download began immediately overwriting my complete collection (inclusive individual cover scans). Fortunately I had an up to date local backup. | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

Lately I accidentally clicked on download instead of upload. The download began immediately overwriting my complete collection (inclusive individual cover scans). Fortunately I had an up to date local backup. Just create a new (empty) database and have that open when you download. Then you can backup from that (downloaded) database and restore the profiles you want into your existing database. This will restore the cover scans (unless you can untick that option - I don't have DVD profiler on my work Pc so I can't check) The ability to have more than 1 database is also useful since you can use that to do a quick backup of your existing database. Note - Downloading the onlince collection shouldn't have over written your local scans since that is the one item that is not uploaded / downloaded from the online collection. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |
