Click on "DVD" (top, third from the left),
then click on "Change EAN".
You will then see a window in which you can enter the EAN. |

This will let you add an UPC/EAN. But be advised, you'll only be able to enter a "real" upc/ean (i.e., all numbers). There is some error-checking that won't let you enter an invalid number.
You can't enter the Disc ID, since it usually has letters in it (hex coding). And you can't change a manual number to a different one (e.g., M39 > M40) since you can't enter letters.

I wanted to point out that you while you can manually enter a UPC or EAN even without having a DVD to scan, you can't manually enter a Disc ID or change a manual ID. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole)
