Hello,

I just transfered from intervocative to invelos.

I looked up the FAQ and searched the forum but didnt got what I wanted to know, so here is my problem:

After finishing my collection on my local HDD, I wanted to upload it.

After going through Online --> DVD Profiler Online I entered my Login-Data and uploaded it.

I get a "Transfer complete" message.

After thats done I check my online site and what do I say - collection not upload, the website responds:

Empty Online Collection

This online collection is empty. If you are the owner of this account, please upload your collection by selecting Online->DVD Profiler Online from DVD Profiler's main menu.

So I did the same procedure again, but same result.

Here are the screens I took:

What shall I do now?

Thanks in advance.

If you had a paid subscription at Intervocative then read this which will show you how to upgrade your key to a new one for free.

If you had a free key at Intervocative then look here for the differences between the two versions.

- one of these differences is that you can onlu upload upto 50 dvd profiles.

Well, allright, thanks for the answer.

Result:

Invelos forces one to buy the premium membership.

So what, I won't. I'll just stop using the program. Not a big loss for me.

Why are you refusing to pay for the programmers efforts? This programme is worth every cent. Enhancements without any paying custumers are hardly possible.

You own 189 DVD's? Did you pay for them? The equivalent for the registration fee is so little and the benefits so big. Please think about it!

actually no one is forcing you to do anything (as is evident by your stating you will stop using the program)

As kahless said, a lot of work/effort went into making this program. They provide a version for free that you can use with some limitations. They charge (as kahless also said) a relatively small fee for some more features, one of which is to upload your collection to their servers, so you (and others) can view your collection online using their bandwidth, which they pay for on monthly basis.

If the limited features are so important to you, you can find the $30 to pay for it (skip 1 to 3, maybe 4 dvd purchases). If not then as nolesrule said, 'Bye bye. Have a nice day.'

Well, as I can remember, at intervocative one had the possibility to upload one's DVDs, even if the collection was bigger than 50DVDs.

The Pro Version came with high-res Pictures - which is, but I dont need them THAT much.

Well, I don't doubt the effort of the programmers. But sorry, I am not willing to pay 30 Bucks. I guess an affordable price would be 20 dollars.

However I think that this was discussed many times before and I don't want to bore anyone.

@kahless: Sure I am the legitimate owner of my DVDs.

$30 is less than a new DVD cost (in Norway that is). This program is absolutely worth it. It's just one hour payment in a normal job

I still cannot fathom when people can own 150+ DVDs (which means they've spent on average $3000+, give or take, depending on sale prices) but then say they're not willing to spend $30 for the program they're using to keep inventory of said $3000+ worth of movies.

I mean, it's their money, so they can do with it as they wish and I respect that.. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around it.

This morining I heard in the radio that the EUR:USD exchange rate is 1:1.4875, that means it'll cost you 20.17 EUR.

That equals 2 to 2½ low-price DVDs in germany.
