| Posted: | | | | I have a number of 500GB hard drives (as of now 21 and counting) with my DVDs ripped to them. Is there any way I can use LoadDVD to play a DVD from the drive. Now I use the location field to ID the hard drive volume name. | | | Neil |

It shouldn't matter how the drives are attached, thanks to the operating system. What is it that doesn't work? Take a look at the LoadDVD thread. There are several techniques discussed there for playing DVDs. None of them are dependent on whether the drive is internally or externally attached. A drive letter is a drive letter. After that, if you still have problems, come on over to that thread, and describe more precisely exactly what you are doing and what is not working. I will not be able to diagnose the situation with generalities - I need to know exactly what you've typed into each field, and the contents of your script, if any. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | Thanks mediadogg. I didnt see the LoadDVD thread (stupid me). I havent downloaded LoadDVD yet because I wanted to be sure it would it work for me. I didnt mean to say LoadDVD was broken, just looking for info. I will find the LoadDVD thread and then post my questions there if I have any.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

nb Great. Now before you go off and start coding a bunch of stuff, play around with some ideas - there are several ways to do things in LoadDVD. When you think you have a scheme, share it with us in the LoadDVD thread, and we'll give advice. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here.
