| Posted: | | | | Do you mean IFO files? ISO files are disc images and can't be played directly - only burnt to disc then played. Or am I missing something? If it is IFO files - check in the Layouts section - there's been a lot of work there with HTML windows that can play trailers, avi files etc. on the hard drive. I'm sure someone's already been able to adapt one to play dvd-rips on the hard drive. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

LoadDVD is a plugin, fully supported and documented - that does exactly what you want to do. A couplke of users have posted extensive information on just how they do it, with scripts. I have posted my method. Take a look at the LoadDVD thread, and you will be happy. By the way, the methods described can be used to play virtually any kind of file (IFo, ISO, avi, mpg ....) ISO - vlc player, NERO Showtime, sometimes WMP 11 (on Vista, depending on the audio codec) IFO - Vlc player, PowerDVD avi, mpg, wmv, etc - wide variety of players | | | Thanks for your support. ISO files can be played directly by (at least) these two methods: (1) Directly using players such as vlc, NERO Showtime and sometimes even WMP, and others. (2) (In)directly by mounting the ISO on a virtual DVD drive using deamontools or NERO ImageDrive. Then any program that will play a DVD, such as PowerDVD or WMP can be used. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | You learn something new every day! I never knew those programs had been given that capability. Mind you it's been a while since I've done anything with ISO files. |
