It's happened once: when moving a profile from Ordered to Owned, the Title changed to another existing profile (the Sort Title didn't change, though).

Besides, a couple of times, I contributed a profile then  Inoticed that the type had changed from DVD to BR. Well, I might have ticked the check box by mistake, or not.

Might those be signs of some database corruption going on?

I think it has something to do we the kind of case you selected, some change to BR

Something like that happened again and I couldn't remove the "bad" profile (with data from other profiles).

I've just run the Repair Utility (Basic Mode), it found "Indexes do not match record data and are invalid, starting to fix indexes ... Invalid indexes fixed ...  Repair of table Collection completed" ... etc.

It looks like the RU actually fixed it. The previously "bad" profile didn't have bad data any more and I could remove it.
