Not sure if this is the right group, but I try anyway. I live in Norway and we have an online store that's sells BD and DVD to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the EU. Therefore we in Norway sometimes get the Swedish versions of the movies. In the past I have bought several BD's (all Kubrick movies) which has been on the market several months, but when I enter them in profiler, they're not added, so I have to enter the profiles myself in swedish (It's not a problem) So I wonder is there no Swedish BD collectors out there, or isn't the Kubrick movies popular in Sweden?

As I said, I don't mind doing the swedish profiles, but just wondering why there isn't any profiles from sweden...

I don't know about anyone else, but personally I opted for a Region A player, and therefore I don't buy any Swedish BD releases.

There are 52 Swedish Blu-ray titles in the database, so obviously some people contribute. There are 150 Norwegian, so either there are more Norwegian users, or the Norwegian users are more diligent in submitting BD titles. Or both...

5 of the contributions are mine, so that means 47 swedish genuine contributions I don't have a region A player yet, but it will come, because the prices are too high here in Norway compared to USA releases What player do you have?

I have a Samsung BD-P1400, and with the latest firmware (1.6) I think it it works very well. I have had very few problems with it (knock on wood). Load times are annoyingly long for some discs, though (especially Sunshine).

Same player as me, but n ot a region A player though.. I am waiting for the new Panasonic to be released, and I'm hoping DVD-Direct are able to make it regionfree I have just one problem with my player, nad that is with Mr and Mrs Smith, I have a sound drop-out and I have tested it with other players and on the other players there are no drop-outs, just on mine But what the heck, I hope the new Panasonic handles this dropout, I suspect that it is a layertransition where the sound drop out, but haven't been able to verify it yet..

I've seen Blu-ray mods for Sony, Samsung and Pioneer, but so far I haven't seen anyone doing mods for Panasonic. But hope never dies...

Same here. I might buy some Swedish region free titles in the future, but the current low cost of the American dollar makes it more attractive to import anyway...

While the new Pannys sound interesting, there just isn't enough incentive for me to upgrade any time soon, software- or hardware-wise. Unless something radical happens I'll keep my BD-P1400 for several year to come. But I'll be happy to cross my finger for you!    Let's hope that region free Blu-ray players become as common as region free SD players!
