| | Posted: | | | | On my "Owned" tab "Total DVDs" is 807 but "Filtered" is 806. Of course the obviouse answer would be that I have some sort of filter applied, but I don't! I've cleared the filterd several times, looked through all the poosible filters to see if something doesn't look right but just can't figure out why these two numbers are not the same.
Without any filters applied, they should be the same...right?

If that doesn't work try going to Tools > Options > Parental Control and check your settings.
Finally try a database repair Tools > Options > Utilities > Repair DVD Profiler Database. |

Adult is defined in options, it can include rating and/or genre. | | | | Hans |

-Cleared the filters...nothing
-Turned off parental control agan, it was already off...nothing
-Repaired databse...nothing.
-Backed up and repaired database...Not exactly.
When I went to restore the database I saw the one that did not have a name and unchecked it. I thought that woudl do it but, when it finished restoring...the numbers still didn't match | | | Panasonic 58" Plasma HDTV | Panasonic Blu-ray | Sony Reciever | Polk Speakers

| | Posted: | | | | Try restoring into a new, blank database and instead of restoring all profiles, select to choose, then select all except the blank one. That should create a new, fixed database.
Then simply delete the damaged one. |

Restoring into a new, blank database did the trick. For some reason, even though I would un-check the empty profile it would still restore it when I was using the default database. Creating a new one and deleting the default worked.

| | Posted: | | | | Only a Complete Restore will overwrite the existing database. Selecting multiple profiles will only replace those. So, by selecting all but the troubled profile you overwrote a;ll profiles and kept the bad one...
