Is there a way to eliminate the "edition" (ie. Widescreen, Special Edition) from the online collection. I've removed them from most of my database, and uploaded, but the edition still shows up.

I guess you are talking about the drop down menu for the edition in the edit mode.

If you click the arrow by the side to bring up the dropdown list and scroll to the top, you will come to a 'blank' field click on that and press enter and there will be no edition entered for your particular title. Bearing in mind if you are uploading, it willl default to the profile saved in invelos (unless you are uploading from your private collection - in this instance it will default to your last saved download).
There is no way of eliminating it from an online profile unless you find an incorrection within the edition field. you can then change it and contribute the new submission accordingly, if accepted it will get released for global use.

Hope this helps!

Only by contributing the Profile in question for Submission, but if other people who have the title don't agree with you then the "edition" part will stay. As the Data for the On-line part of your collection is taken from the Main Database.

Orlando:

The Online is not designed or intended to be a reference database for any user. It is a database for ALL users, thus the Edition data is appropriate and you can't and should not even try to do much about it. The reference database is your local database, your local you can edit and do whatever YOU want to with the data that the Online provides. The Online follows our Contribution Rules, which you should read before proceeding any further. You are one user out of 500,000 +, so don't even think about it, simply recogniize the difference in purpose between the Online and the Local. You weren't here when this place was nightmare with every user trying to twist and bend the Online database to his needs and wants  and to hell with everyone else.

Let me start by saying: Why does nobody read the question?

to GeneinOrlando:
The Online-List shows, apart from the covers, everything exactly as you have it in your local DVD Profiler.
So, if you eleminate the "edition" locally it should be gone. See my
One Brazil is still Criterion, the other is not.

cya, Mithi

PS If you still see the Editions, try clearing your browsercache, or try another browser.

Guess Skip is right. Online profile is pulling titles from Invelos, not from my local DB. I've tested uploading my DB, after removing "editions" and it doesn't change.
And, yes, I know ... old messes. I've been with Profiler from the start ... back, from before I've gone broke on this bad habit

Clear your brower cache as Mithi said and the edition will no longer appear in your online collection. I just removed the edition from Rambo, uploaded to my online collection, cleared my browser cache and the editon is no longer there.
