| Posted: | | | | What is Robin Williams actual birthyear. I have 16 titles that have 1951, and just acquired "License to Wed" which has a birthyear of 1952.
Is there documentation for needing a birthyear, or is it something that should be scrapped..? |

While Robin does not have hos own website, there are numerous websites that document his birthdate of July, 1951, NOT 1952, including a fansite. I will say that I am very aware of Robin's birthdate, but you have to talk to the Big Giant Head for more specifics, because i ain't talkin'. Let's just say he's a friend.

I did a little bit of looking around and I can't find a Robin Williams that would conflict with him. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | There are a number of other Robin Williams' listed. But Ronin, at least the one I think you are referring to is the only one i can verify a Birth Year for.

All the other ones I found were 'misc. crew' which would not conflict with any data in our system. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I can also show a number of websites that list him at 1952 (bio.com askmen.com) and wiki lists it at either 1951 or 1952.
The print biographies The Life and Humor of Robin Williams: A Biography and Robin Williams: A Biography give his birth year as 1952. The Robin Williams Scrapbook also gives a birth year as 1952, as does Encyclopedia Britannica.
Williams refers to himself as being "55" in an interview published July 4, 2007 | | | Last edited: by CharlieM |

Thanks T!M, now I will have to do some more research so that I can add this pair to the BY thread. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Mmm, I'm indeed seeing that quite a few sites have switched from 1951 to 1952, even a few that I referred to back when I added the 1951 birth year to my profiles. I can even report that both birth years have already been accepted into the database (no checkbox appeared for either when I added both variants into a profile and tried to contribute it). If anyone can figure out which is the correct one, it'd be much appreciated. I've already looked around a bit myself, but haven't been able to find any "definitive" proof yet... |
