I was wanting to know if there is a way to sort by just movies or TV series.  I keep my collections seperate when it comes to this, so i wanted to keep my database the same.  Even if i could force my sort order to have my TV Series come after my last movie "Zoolander" for example that would suffice as well.

Any tips or ideas are greatly welcomed.

Thanks,
VirusGT

Two possible workarounds:

1: Create a new database just for TV Series
2. Edit the TV Series Sort Titles so that they begin after the Zs.

You could also use the boxsets-in-boxsets feature to organize them.  I have a profile called TV with child profiles to get them all listed in one place.  Like so:

Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.

Thanks for both suggestions....

I may end up creating another database, but kinda like them all in one place.  I also really like the parent / child relationships.  I never played around with that.  it makes them all neat though.

At least this gives me some ideas.

THANKS!!!

There is a BIG drawback to having them in a seperate database though. You can only upload one database to your online collection. If you do move them to another database they won't be in your online.

Hi,

If your not currently using "Disc Location" in the Personalize section, "TV" could be entered as appropriate.

Right-clicking within the "Collection List" block on the main screen allows "Disc Location" to be selected under "View Columns".  By doing this and then clicking on the "Disc Location" column in the "Collection List" will cause your TV listings to be displayed after the others.

The "BulkEdit" plugin highly recommended for making multiple changes.

This is only suggested as a workable guideline.

Good luck.
