This not normal, probably first?
Do you have a AntiVirus Program running?
Did you check you computer for virus, spyware or adware?
Standard XP Pro US English 32 bit? Or localized version? ... ?
Standard installation in c:\Program Files\DVD Profiler\?
Hardware?
Other running software?
Anything special on this configuration?
Do you have the same result running with all other software closed down?
Do you have the same result running in safe mode?
Your PC or do you have an administrator for this PC?

Other questions (possibly important)
Did you change any hardware components lately?
Did you update any drivers lately (especially graphics or network adapter)?

First guesses (shot in the dark):
Corrupt database: Try database repair via menu "Tools -> Options -> Utilities"
Corrupt plugin: Try starting DVDProfiler with pressed "Shift"-Button (this disables Plugins temporarily)
Corrupt NetFx: Reinstall latest version from M$ download server
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
