Hello,

I am looking for a way to create custom genres in DVD profiler. Can anyone tell me how I can do this?

Thanks,
Jan

You have to be running the beta version to create custom genres. (It can not be done with version 3.1 only version 3.5)

but in version 3.5 all you need to do is...

Tools --> Edit Custom Genres

Then you can add and delete as needed.

First of all: welcome to the Asylum! (I saw this is your first post.)

In the current official version 3.1 you can't, however in the current beta release 3.5 there are now five genre fields and you can create two custom genres.

However, if you plan to use the beta, please realize there are some issues with it (check out the Beta Release Testing thread in these forums for more info). A new beta version is to appear "soon".

So you've got three choices: go for the current beta and deal with the issues, wait for the next beta or wait a bit longer until the next beta gets officially released.

Whichever you choose: good luck! And enjoy the program!

Alternatively, if you're not using the 3.5 beta, you can use Tags as additional genres... when the beta goes to the  standard you can then transfer the tags you've done to new genres (which is what I intend to do)
