Is there a way to create a profile for a DVD that is not in the database?

Of course!

You add them in the same way more or less. Click the Add to Collection button, enter the UPC/EAN, then click Add DVD. You may be asked to confirm the number & then you'll have a blank profile to fill in & then contribute.

Menu>DVD>Add to Collection. If it's by UPC, enter the UPC. If Title is unknown then untic "Download Profile from Invelos" at the bottom left of the screen and enter the Title of the DVD and click "Add DVD". In the Validate UPC window, reenter the UPC and Title and if you wish to edit the profile immediatly check the box "Edit this profile now", otherwise click OK and the Title will be added to the Pending Additions on the right. Click "Add now to Owned" and the Title will be added to your collection and you can edit the profile at your leisure. After completing the profile and you wish to contribute the title to the Database, read and follow the Contribution Rules before doing so.

In addition to what others have said, if the title already exists in the database but with a different UPC, you can download that UPC and then modify it for your UPC/profile.

Here's some instructions and guidelines for how to do that:

Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles.
