As title, if you are looking for this blu ray player, then QVC are today giving this as their 'todays special value'.

This sale price is only Saturday 27 September GMT. (i.e. Midnight Friday until Midnight Saturday).

I'm not giving a recomendation for the machine since I don't have this - I use a PS3 - but it seems a good price. And you can return it within a month and get your money back.

note - this price includes 2 free blu ray films - I am Legend / Oceans 13

That's about exactly the same price as you pay for it in every Media Markt or Saturn in Austria.

So I guess they finally become affordable..

Hi,

I just bought a BD-P1500 this past week from Future Shop (owned by Best Buy) here in Canada for $299.99 (no free DVDs).  I am very, very pleased with it.  Picture is great, and it feeds great audio to my Yamaha HTR-6160.  I did my first major test with it this week when I purchased Iron Man in Blu Ray.

Iron Man worked on it? I heard there were problems with the 1500 and Iron man?

It worked just fine.  No hitches at all.  Maybe I'm just lucky.

For those in the UK still contemplating this player. It's £165 down at www.amazon.co.uk with the two free films.
