When I open Profiler I get the error message -

[Access violation at address 006DAD64 in module 'dvdpro.exe' Read of address 0000022C]

When I close it another one pops up - I think it pops up as many times as I have films.  I am using the latest beta version but I had the same problem on the earlier version.

Any ideas?

Insufficient data.
Additional information needed:
Which OS and which version?
How did you import your 3.1 data into ver. 3.5?
Did you already try a database repair via Windows "Start -> Programs -> DVD Profiler -> Database Repair Utility"?

For case of emergency: do you have a recent backup (not older than 2 weeks)?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

How do you know it's a problem related to the Beta release?

I'm using Vista-Home Ed. with all the updates
When I updated Profiler all the data was picked up - I don't know how but it's all there
Yes, I tried the repair - same, same
I have a new data backup - thankfully!

I suppose it could be an incompatibility to the current layout. (Maybe, because I had similar problems on a XP machine!)

Are you able to change your layout to default? If not, do a complete uninstall of the profiler and reinstall again. Attention: You might have to re-enter your registration info!

In general the current beta should work on Vista. I'm running Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. No problems here!

HTH!

Either this or probably a conversion problem of the database.

Please try the following:
- Check if DVDProfiler has writing access to it's default directories by creating a new database.
- Change the layout back to a standard layout via menu "View -> Load Layout ..." if this doesn't help
- Download the latest beta (1239)
- Do a complete uninstall before installing the latest version
- Reenter the registration key
- Import the backup data

I wasn't sure if he meant an earlier Beta version or the 3.1 version.

And isn't the latest version called a "Release Candidate?"
