| Posted: | | | | I have tried sevral times to instal dvd profiler mobile on my Mio168 but every time I get the message: "Application manager cannot install this application on your mobile device due to an invalid setup file. Reinstall and try again."
On my mio168 is installed: microsoft pocket pc, version 4.20.0, 1996 - 2003 I saw on this site that this was enough.
can someone help me solve this problem? |

| Posted: | | | | Use Windows Explorer to navigate to "\Program Files\DVD Profiler Mobile" on your computer and copy the file DVDProfilerMobile.CAB to your device. On your device, locate the file and open it. This will install the app on your device without using ActiveSync. |

| Posted: | | | | thank you for your help. but it doesn't work. When I try to open the file on my device I get a popup with the info: "the file "\DVDProfilerMobile.Cab" is not a valid windows CE Setup file".

What I should try is to re-download the install file of DVD Profiler Mobile and try to install because I had a pocket PC with windows mobile 2003 and it worked. I suppose you have Activesync that is installed on your computer. | | | Regards Cyrille |

if it worked by your pocket pc, then it has to work with mine too.

| Posted: | | | | The .NET framework is simply a set of global functions that programs can take advantage of so that individual programs can be kept smaller because they don't have to repackage the same routines over and over.
From my understanding, that error message comes from the OS itself. Maybe check to see if there is a ROM update? |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks all for your suggestions. I Also came on the idea to upgrade my PPC to a WM 2003 SE (was WM 2003 CE). But also this didn't help. I also installed a new version of COMPACT .NET 2 (the 3.5 version). But everything I try it doesn't change a thing. The DVDProfilerMobile will not run on my device. Maybe an earlier version of DVDPM will run on my device. Does someone know where I can find one and will it run with DVDProfiler 3.5? Thanks and I hope you all can help me run the program on my device. |

| Posted: | | | | My suggestion would be to start over from scratch.
First: Ensure that you have the latest edition of DVD Profiler (Desktop version 3.5.1 (Build 1252)) installed. I'd run a full database repair on DVD Profiler prior to installing DVD Profiler Mobile to ensure there is no faulty data. Make sure you have a current backup as well.
Second: Ensure that you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 intalled on your Desktop PC or Laptop.
Third: Ensure that you have the latest edition of DVD Profiler Mobile (Version: 1.2.0 (Build 126)) installed.
Fourth: Install Microsoft Active Sync 4.2. I've had problems with later versions of Active Sync because they don't support my antiquated version of MS Outlook on my Home PC and I couldn't sync my email.
Fifth: Install everything on an external SD card instead of the Pocket PC's internal memory if possible. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
