| Posted: | | | | Bulk edit looks to be just the thing I want for creating labels. I'd like to download a few fields from my DVDs to Excel, add the label info to location and slot, print my labels, then upload the new location and slot back to the database.
However, I'm doing something wrong. I flag the first few DVDs, invoke bulk edit, check Formatted UPC, Location, Slot and Title, then Load Flagged profiles. The load fails with an error that says that the index must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
In playing with the app, I noticed that if I exclude Title, the data form gets loaded with columns headed Profile ID and UPC, but no Location or Slot. At this time all locations and slots are empty.
Am I missing a step?

No, that is definitely a bug. I assume that you are using the latest published version, but I have a more recent one that I didn't publish yet. Try this.If it works, I will publish it. By the way, you have to check the disc info tag in order to show Location and Slot. Just a design quirk. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Steve Ok, I will PM you with email address. Things will go faster if you can send me a sample of a file that doesn't work. I suspect that the UPC or profile ID is being corrupted (It is a text field, but if you are not careful, Excel wiil try to convert it into a floating point number). | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | When you View Plugins, what version of BulkEdit is reported? Your PM to me describes behavior that does not happen in the version I thought I sent you. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |

Steve Can you please answer my prior questions? I need to be sure that you are using the latest version, otherwise I am wasting time. Also, as I said in the email, it is a waste of my time to try and debug manually edited XML files. I need a sample of exactly what you are using that was created by DVD Profiler. I can't support arbitrary editing that could contain all kinds of formatting and chracter set errors. Profiler can create a file consisting of a single profile, and subsetted at that. There is no need for manual editing. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |
