"Sound Operator" in the usual spot where I see "Sound Mixer" for the Production Sound Mixer credit.
Can not use it, Correct? |

This movie does not have a Production Sound Mixer listed, or any of Profilers "Equivalents" But this credit sits where I would expect to see "Sound Mixer"

I can see arguments on both sides of this, some saying yes it is a direct translation and some saying no it's not. So, we have a term in the Rules but no way to apply it, nothing that spells out what a direct translation is or is not. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Would have opened up a lot of yes and no comments in voting, and I decided not to deal with that end of it.
I know for a fact that this is the Production sound mixer of this movie, and threw this out here as another example of the limitations of what the arguments of crew table provides, instead of allowing us to put in the actual job (no matter what it is called)

The same way as we have to do it for all non-English credits on a daily basis. And we do this with much less problems as the exactly as listed with no variation allowed way for US-English credits. |
